Dr. Nichole M. Barker is passionate about the medical and emotional aspects of what she does, and is honored to help her patients build their families. She focuses on working closely with each patient and moving at the pace that is right for them.
Biography
Dr. Nichole M. Barker brings a deeply personal understanding of infertility and In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) to her practice, allowing her to connect with patients through empathetic and compassionate care. Since joining the Seattle Reproductive Medicine (SRM) team in August 2012, she has dedicated herself to helping patients build their families at a pace that feels comfortable for them.

Education
Dr. Barker has special interests in assisted reproductive techniques, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, recurrent pregnancy loss, and fibroids. She has received extensive post-graduate training in minimally invasive surgery to enhance reproductive outcomes. A magna cum laude graduate of John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Barker earned her medical degree from Ohio University. She completed her OB/GYN residency and Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility fellowship at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, where she served as executive chief resident and clinical instructor for Case Western Reserve University.
Awards
Throughout her training, Dr. Barker received several accolades, including the Wulf H. Utian Award for Surgical Excellence and the Bayer Health Care Best Teaching Junior Resident Award. She has published research in various journals on topics such as fibroids, endometriosis, and minimally invasive surgery. Additionally, she has presented at national meetings on subjects including ovulation induction, fibroids, ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome, and shared oocyte donation. Dr. Barker is board certified in both OB/GYN and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
Personal
Dr. Barker sees patients at the Tacoma location. Originally from Ohio, she has developed a love for the year-round outdoor lifestyle of the Pacific Northwest, which she enjoys exploring with her husband and two daughters.
